朝霧高原治療院 鍼灸では、慢性の痛みや炎症、ストレスの緩和およびコントロールを目的に継続的な鍼（はり）治療を行なっています。

全国規模で行われたドイツ鍼治療研究(GERAC研究)により、腰痛症と変形性膝関節症に対して従来治療の2倍を上回る鍼治療の効果率が示されたことなどをはじめとして、腰痛や頭痛などの慢性痛、炎症性疾患、ストレスなどに対する継続的な鍼治療の効果が多くの臨床研究によって示され、システマチックレビューやメタアナリシスにより明らかになっています。

そのため米国内科学会(ACP)は腰痛に対して、英国国立医療技術評価機構(NICE)や日本の「頭痛の診療ガイドライン2021」では頭痛に対して、鍼治療を推奨しています。

直近では2025年にアメリカ医師会雑誌JAMAに、65歳以上の800人の腰痛患者を対象に行われた臨床研究の結果が掲載されました。

この研究では、高齢者の慢性腰痛に対して、鍼治療を通常の医療に追加することで、痛みや機能障害の改善がより大きく、かつ持続的に得られることが示されました。

副作用の評価も行われ、有効性だけでなく安全性も確認されました。

また、意外に思われるかもしれませんが、一部の大規模解析では、治療前の痛みが強い患者ほど、鍼治療による絶対的な痛みの軽減量が大きくなる傾向があると報告されています。

鍼治療は伝統的な漢法医学の療法のひとつで、日本にはお灸や漢方薬などとともに6世紀に伝わり、平安、鎌倉、室町、安土桃山、江戸、と時代を通して、「気」や「経絡」といった漢法医学的考え方に基づいて脈々と行われてきました。

明治、大正、昭和の時代には現代医学的な観点から研究が進められ、現在では最新の研究技術によって、鍼灸が脳や神経を介して、どのようなメカニズムで免疫機能に作用を及ぼすのかについて、科学的に解明されてきました。

これにより、鍼灸は「経験」に頼る医療から、「しくみ」に基づく医療へと進化しつつあります。

2014〜2021年にはNatureやNeuronといった一流のジャーナルに、電気鍼が神経免疫調節を介して炎症抑制を生じさせるメカニズムを示す一連の鍼灸関連論文が報告され、特定の解剖学的部位とパラメータに基づいて電気鍼を行うと、炎症を抑制できる可能性が示されてきました。

慢性炎症のコントロールは痛み、動脈硬化症、糖尿病、アルツハイマー病、がんなど、老化を促進する様々な疾患の予防との関連が示唆されているため、これらの疾患に対するポジティブな作用を期待しながら日々の鍼治療を行なっています。
